High yield potential in the High Rainfall Zone (HRZ)
with the following features:

In Australia the high rainfall zone usually means areas with an average annual rainfall greater than 600 mm. This is the area of most reliable rainfall in Australia yet the average wheat yields (2.63 tonnes per hectare), are only 0.8 tonnes per hectare greater than those obtained in the traditional, drought prone wheat belt despite more favourable length of growing season and high yield potential of the HRZ.
